Mu 8-4 road conditions?

Hi,

I joined huntingBC a long time ago but never really posted much because most of my questions were already answered.
I enjoy reading all the excellent tips etc. I have my hunting license for about three seasons but the only thing I managed
to bag as of now is a couple of grouses.


I am just wondering if anyone know the FSR road conditions in MU 8-4 around copper mountain?

Would this area be a good choice for a novice to go for a day trip to try to get his firs black bear?

I have no idea of the road conditions, but if you can find some de-activated roads with fresh greens, dandelions etc coming up, your in the right area for bear..

The roads are pretty good, some blow downs in some areas depending where you go.

I was thinking on going in from copper mountain rd as that is the only place I know of how to access the area.
Anyone know other access points from HWY #3? driving from manning park?

*Just a quick update in case someone else want to head out that way.*


I went out and the roads are generally in very good condition.
there are some downed trees, I cut some to make the road passable.
There is still some snow on the north facing switchbacks at higher elevations.

It was a great day to be out there.
Saw a lots of deer, moose, hare, grouse...

I was surprised to see lots of coyote droppings. Anyone has a good tip how to hunt them there?

I would stick down low around there if I was you seen lots of nice boars in the rolling hills around town lots of private property but lots of hunt able land as well. Lots of yotes in Princeton got my first double double there don't think lots of people hunt them cheers

Did you ever find another way in other than from Princeton?
We banged around there last year deer hunting around Willis and Wilbert ( Son lives in Princeton and spent many, many hours checking the area out and shot lots of grouse and bunnies) with little success but like you, lots and lots of signs.
