After almost a month of waiting, I finally got myself a custom hand made knife. Its a genuine kukri from Nepal with a western twist. Its pretty hefty and big! 1/3" thick.
Paid $125 usd + shipping. Was money well spent i say.

Made from recycled truck leaf spring steel. 5160 Steel. Annealed at 22-25 hrc then tempered to 58-60 hrc. Comes with a buffalo leather sheath. Its gonna be a great chopper. I'll have to compare it to my CS trailmaster soon.

My Nepalese Kukrhi was not nearly as attractive, but it was about $30 in 1992, and it laid waste to acres of brush. Love that thing, wish I hadn't lost it, it had plenty of great memories from when I actually got it to all the use. You will love your new knife. Go hard! :)

It's still available. An Australian knife designer designed it. They have more good looking knives that I'm going to buy lol.

It will take a while to get to your door though. They don't have it readily in stock. It takes em 20-25 days to make. I suggest you contact them and have them engrave your name or further customize it.

Beautiful, how easy is it to sharpen reflex edges like that?
