Looking for the current Road condition? Guessing it hasn't been groomed yet? Cheers

Probably not... they usually do it in the week preceding May long weekend so the grad parties can come trash up the valley.

Came through that way today, had two graders working on it and the guy said the road was opened to the border and they had leveled the road to 26km so far.

Awesome... early this year... good for the suspension. Ask them if they saw any critters?

Hopefully nobody shoots up the road grader equipment this year so they can finish without interruption.

No I didn't ask them about the wildlife.

I was up there two weeks ago. Lots of the spur roads are heavily washed out. It will make for good hiking though.

Anyone been up Skagit this fall? Was thinking of heading up tomorrow to go look for deer/grouse/bear. Is there very good vehicle access for truck or should I be bringing the UTV up to get as far back as possible before walking?

Was up there on Tuesday afternoon, first couple accessible roads were washed out, lots of the spur roads were a little too grown in for my big truck to get in, quad or sxs would have been a good idea. Went all the way up around km 24. Saw one grouse and zero deer. Hope you have better luck than I did.
