Not sure if anyone remembers the videos I posted last year at the "scratching tree" but this is the same tree and same bear. He definitely fared well over the winter! He bulked up on the salmon from the nearby creeks last fall.

Just a question, how did you happen to find a tree they come to year after year? Just plain luck to happen upon it? I would love to find a year after year scratching post like that to put a tcam on. Those are some healthy bears you have there. That one was a porker for sure.

Wicked video. Always cool to see what they're up to when they think no one is watching!

It is a tree that I had noticed for a couple years prior to putting a camera on. I have had cameras on other scratching trees but none have ever had as much action as this tree! Last year I counted 7 different bears at this tree (blacks and griz). So I guess I was just lucky?
