Just got my hands on my first wall tent frame but it is going to need a new canvas! Anybody know of any local people in the Fraser valley who can build one? Any good alternatives that will work good with the wood burning stove that I could build myself? Looking forward to using it in may ! Any information appreciated !

You may be better off looking for a used tent to fit your frame. What size is your frame? If you find a good used tent that's a bit smaller it should be pretty easy to cut the frame down.

Just don't believe the BS about the zipper in the back wall he's gonna throw in, its a fairy tale.

after the canvass wore out we switched to a thick tarp and it works great for hunting season when biting bugs are not an issue

Regarding wood stove and pipes, is there an advantage to the stove pipe out of the roof versus the side? Any pro's and con's to either way?

Out thru roof eliminates any creosote drip as it goes straight down into stove. I have mine in the center of tent and it gives equal heat to all areas.

Hmmm does that wall tent ever look awesome and homey....just needs a good safe wood stove..

Why would you choose a zipper in the back wall ? Never seen that...

It's actually very handy gives you two entrances, so you don't have to walk around the tent every time you enter.
