I don't know nuthin bout no damn elk or fallow deer. All I know is that people have supposedly been seeing elk lately in this exact area, and this thing had long antlers, and while it was nowhere near the size of a grown elk, it did have white spots on it, so I figured maybe it was a baby.

I thought it is legal to shoot a "feral" species....as long as it is in a safe area to take.
Better someone else answer that however, who has more insight on the legalities etc.
