Wondering whether the tsx 180gr is enough for grizzly . shooting a 300wby?

Hell yes. Lots of grizzly killed with soft nose 30-06 over the years. Tsx at 300 weatherby speeds would be a great choice.

Dont know too much about Wheatherby 300 versus winchester 300 mag..however I think Barnes tsx is top premium quality bullet for bears.the 180 will be fine..you could really ruin a bears day with that combo..lol

Good choice

Plenty.... A good bullet and a well placed shot will make short work....

those TSX liquify internal soft tissue like lungs ect....

That's all we shoot in our 300 Wbys, if I had to choose one cartridge/bullet to hunt everything in North America, 300 Wby and 180gr TSX, doesn't get any better.

This gent has far more experience with the Weatherby caliber..the tsx truly is one of the best grizzly medicine out there..I use the 225 gr tsx in my .338 win mag..bullets have been perfect so far..
Cheers

I would hunt elephant with that combo. I have spent plenty of time huntin grizz with with a 130gr bullet and it will smash the biggest grizz I will ever see.

Failsafe is fail sure.. the bullets don't open properly.

Tsx is a totally different storey I would take a 300 with a tsx against any bear no problem.

Yet I run a 338 with accoubond.

165gr in 30-06 has done the job more than once and no wounded to talk abot their experience! As in all hunting it comes down to shot placement and skill of the person behind the gun!
