Just a quick heads up for folks from within region that effective May 1, all resource roads in the kootenays will be switching to the provincial Resource Road frequencies. Last area to implement in province.

What do you need to listen in when on the back roads?
How many of you actually do?

Finally!RR system just makes sense to me.

I bought a radio within about a week of buying my truck. Some roads are just suicide to drive without one. Sukunka in the Peace Region comes to mind...It's also a great safety feature if you ever get stuck or hurt. Mine has about a 20-25km range depending on terrain.

So I need to get mine reprogrammed? No more hollering on the Galloway channel?

I thought the only info a hunter in the EK needed was "Bull River empty or loaded". Is there anywhere else to hunt?

They no longer use "loaded" or "empty" its now "UP" or "DOWN" I guess loaded and empty was too hard for people to understand. But anyways this change means they are moving to the digital freqs?

I got my radios programmed yesterday. Not digital but they are narrow band.
