Cool pic. I scouted this past weekend without any sign yet, but the weather sure is changing fast.

Looking to get one in mid April up in Pemberton area - setting up camp around Keyhole Hot springs.
Anyone have any insider tips on that area or certain roads to check. I know the old find the clover/grass/shoots find the bear.

Thanks in advance

I'm not in a panic to get out this year because I'm planning on taking my 9 year old son out of school early (my wife/his mom is his grade 3 school teacher and she says we are good to go) we are heading up to Williston Lake on a 2 - 4 week black bear/wolf hunt, fishing, prospecting/searching for buried treasure, dirt biking and shooting trip.

We will be starting out depending on snow conditions either the last week of May or first week of June as long as everything goes well with my crews and I don't have to race back due to some screw up I just have to be home in time for my guy to go to summer camp near Hope for 2 weeks in the start of July.

We will do a couple of local day trips but not in a panic to find a bear going to hold off for a huge one.

My buddies are starting to use the guy at the last turn off on the north side heading west before you get to the Vedder canal.

Saw my first bear poop of the year last week on the KVR in Tulameen and this week some on the trails near our place in Hope.
Guess they're waking up.

I was not planning on heading out until towards the end of April and not even getting serious until after the first week of May, but things might change if I keep hearing things like this ;-P

Saw a beautiful blackie lounging in the grass on the banks of Widgeon Creek, as we were paddling back to the car last Friday. He was enjoying the sun just as much as we were after the cold start to the day, and wasn't bothered one bit by the numerous paddlers taking a moment to get some photographs on the way by. It was nice to see every boat get as far away as possible to give him his space.
