As long as it is not windy and you are sitting they work really well. If you are on the move shower in bug juice and wear three layers clothing. LOL

They do work great, especially sitting on the deck at home.

They work well for about 2 1/2 yards around the unit...so if you put it on the campsite table everyone there would be covered...spray some Deep Woods Off on if you go to the outhouse.

I live in an area that we consider to be Mosquito Hell in June. While we were building our home we used a few spread around the perimeter of the building site. These things were the difference between wearing long coats accompanied by mosquito nets and being able to take off our coats and wear a t-shirt. They do however let out a bunch of nasty chemicals. So, we use them when its necessary, and wear a long coat when its not.

I have seen the commercial on Wild TV.
Tiffany Lakosky is in it with some guy .
She is a hottie...I would buy a bag of sh_t from her and ask for more ;-).

Used them in northern Sask in August. Worked extremely well.
By-the-way, after 50 bites you won't care how many chemicals you suck in and Deet's not that healthy for ya either

Tiffany should wrap her legs around my neck, in her birthday suit, and I'd happily carry her around while she hunts... What's a mosquito?

Thermacells work great for mosquito's! Sat in swamps in Manitoba where there's about 10 mosquito's per square inch and hardly a bite :) Get the green portable one, not the patio version... Takes about 10 minutes after you crank it up to clear an area.

They work great. I use them every year because we live near a beaver pond and the skeeters are brutal. We take them on hikes and when we are just outside.
