LOTS of good deals in AB right now.

Not worth looking in the US with the $ where it's at.

My hunting partner just picked up a 2002 Honda 450 I think he said for $200.00 bucks. Battery was shot, tires rough but otherwise ok. He was out that way so hauled it back. Some folks are really hurting over there financially he said.

The Honda 'Foreman' series is a good workhorse ....
Solid rear axle ...
Older ones have dual rear shocks ...
Manual or electric shift ... (manual is foolproof)
Good carrying/towing capacity ...
Has gears (as all Honda's do) .... instead of a belt drive ...

The Honda 450 Foreman is a good quad. They were made from '98 to '04.
From '98 to '01 they were full time four wheel drive. From '02 to '04 they had a selectable option.
These are a sought after model ..... especially the later ones. They show up on Kijiji .... nice ones are sold quickly. Expect to pay $4000. + for a low hour/kilometer machine.
Look over a used quad carefully. Ask questions on use .... divide the stated kilometers by the hours to give you an idea of average speeds.

The 500 Foreman models are great also ..... more $$, good features.

The one Honda model that did have some expensive repairs is the Rubicon ... avoid the 2001 - 2004 models. They had transmission problems, and the transmission was replaced as a unit ..... $$$ Honda had the problem fixed for the 2005 model year onward.
Good luck .... keep searching, let us know what you get.
Welcome to the forum ......... Canuck fan ?:mrgreen:

Do you really want a Honda? I have a Renegade 800 I'd be selling for a fair price.

Ive owned 2 Suzuki King quads, bought the first in 91' worked it hard on the acreage and pulled 1/2 moose out of some nasty places every fall up till 2008 when I bought a new Suzuki KQ 750 cc.Sold it last yr as I didn't have storage for it,
Never needed all that extra power anyhow .Now I'm looking again for a last quad again..95-2000 king quad

Not smacking on Honda, but what's wrong with CanAm? I'm 300lbs and with gear and all this thing flies and pulls. My best bud swears by his Honda, and I believe him, I just wasn't dissapointed with mine yet. Only reason why I'm thinking of selling is because I want a newer 1000cc

Nothing wrong with them, but the OP looks to want a Honda.
They are dead quiet, compared to all the other quads out there, from what I seen.
And when it comes to hunting on a quad, I would assume "stealth" is a good helper.
Nothing wrong with Yamy's either.....very reliable ...etc etc.
But, I give Honda the title of most quiet.
And than there is the "Honda Reliabilty".
Each to there own I guess...everyone will have good and bad to say...depends on their own experiences.
