5-1 ….scouting trip and bears?

So turns out buddies inlaws have a sweet cabin in 5-1 near Eagon Lk(sp?). We're keen to get up there ASAP and start scouting deer. First available time is the April 1st weekend and the opener for bear too.
What say HBC?…. pack the rifle and a tag? Too early?

Too early to expect much access in the back country. Most bears will still be asleep still as well. The deer will likely be down low in winter range still so scouting for them may not help much for hunting season. Having said all that any weekend is a good weekend when out in the bush.
