Anyone here shoot and have any opinions on the Bowtech Carbon Icon? Looking to get started in archery and this was recommended as a quality bow for a decent price at the stock set up.

The only thing I don't like about bow tech is their grips. Other than that, sweet bow

The grip is a little skinny. Wonder if a guy could wrap it a bit. Especially for us guys with BIG hands.

Awesome bow. Don't own one but have shot one. I usually have somewhat of a open hand/loose grip when shooting so I didn't notice the small grip.

Dont own the carbon icon, but I do have the Prodigy and I love it.. I had an assassin before that and it was also a great bow... Ive had 2 hoyts and hated both of them...

You can. Just don't do the same thing and go with "BCBowtech"

Might just as well wait till you have a Mathews, 'cause then you'll be done changing. ;-)

Shoot them all and pic the one that feels the best and the most comfortable... Doesn't matter what the name on the bow is. They are all really good products these days. Just pic the one you like best. Bear feel the best to me but thats me.

What were your problems with Hoyt ...
You hear of problems with every manufacturer ... other than Bowtech in the mid 2000s ... the problems you hear are the minority (Bowtech had a serious problem with their limbs)

Because you would give up Archery saying that you cant believe that people think this is the greatest;)

I looked at the Hoyt but i'm not ever gonna pay $2000 for a bow....so I put it back on the shelf.....I'll stick with my Prime Impact and I bought a trad to try out.....been luvin it so far...lots of fun.

Picked up the Carbon Icon. Have it set back to 60lbs on the comfort setting. My arm gets more sore after an hour of lifting a beer can compared to shooting this bow. Will turn up the poundage and get the chrony out next weekend.
