Well, went up with a few friends the wife and kid last weekend to boston bar for some camping, shooting and a very little hunting. Weather was nice and the kid got to take her first crack with the .22. Had a police officer show up in the afternoon saturday, apparently someone complained about the shooting. He actually had the guts to admit he did not know how to use a gun, his gun, nor did he want to wear it but was made to. This was not upon any questioning by me. He had a quick look at the few guns he could see, and was not interested in what else we had. He would not even make eye contact with my heavy barrelled varmint rifle sitting in the crossticks. He then quickly turned around and left after saying thanks (note: he was a very young officer and very polite) We had no problem as my partner owned the land andwe were on and we were a fair ways off the highway. We stopped by Alexandria bridge on the way home and because it is a large grated old bridge deck I had to carry the damned dog across but he didn't mind. Lots of sunshine and drinks by a campfire made for an otherwise excellent weekend. I'll post some pics as soon as I figure out how.

Isn't that what people do that don't hunt?

C'mon, fess up. You went hunting and got skunked. It's OK... Happens to everybody sooner or later.

OH... Now I get it - You're out there hanging w/ the ladies (pics just loaded).

That's OK to.

What do expect when you're camped in the Charles Hotel parking lot?

Good to see the young un learning how to shoot the 22! Keep her on it, and she'll be hooked.

That Anderson Valley is supposed to be a good deer area up higher on the road and goes over the other side to overlook Merrit from blacktails to mule deer, nice photos by the way. Jelvis

i know 25 is never enough thats why I have two stuck together, I figure 50 rounds oughta be enough to take a bear, you know fair chase and all.
