Finally got to use it. Didn't have to put it on the bike, but sure nice to lift in to the truck. Saving a old mans back.

May want to have a large plate (foot) on the bottom so it does not sink in soft ground. Could just be held in place with a sleeve and a quick pin.

i would think a 12" by 12" plate

Yup it's in the works. Ran short of 3/16" plate aluminum. It's all made from scraps.

A moose antler would do.

Excellent idea, ya really got me thinking! Another thought would be a pulley on the front rack and use your winch. K

You gonna use it to load a big critter into your quad trailer? Putting that kind of weight on the back of your quad will not be a good idea.

Heck of a good idea there MRP! Yes, a bigger plate on the ground would help it from sinking into soft ground. And, if your front rack was empty of gear, a guy could lift a quarter up as high as possible, hopefully to a large stump or a high bank of sorts, roll the quarter off your rear lift and tie it down so it won't fall off the stump, then turn the quad around and roll a quarter onto the front rack too? I hope to see a few pic's this fall with your new lift in Action!

Half a moose at a time on a quad is ok. Packed lots on my old 3 wheeler. I like to over test things. Just to be sure.

Nice work!
i have some aluminum pipe that's been waiting for a new career.
No reason it couldn't work front and rear. I've put most of a moose on my quad several times. Skin and take off four legs then bone the rest.

An an excellent and functional project. Thanks.
