Looking for any helpful advise or info from experienced sheep hunters I got drawn for the 6-29 sheep draw this year and am hoping for helpful pointers , maybe lakes to fly into? Or trail heads to hike in from or just past story's and pictures id love to hear it all and greatly appreciate all help and information I can get! I've read previous story's from the area sounds like some guys on here know the area pretty well , I've also heard there is a guiding outfit out of there.. Anyone know the name or area their from? Thanks in advance for info on my dream hunt

Lots of guys have taken rams off Blanchard lake, make sure you know where the Yukon Border is though.

Roughly 112 Km's from Haines Junction heading south you'll find a gravel road down to the Tat called Bear Flats.
You have to cross the Tat at this point and find an old mining road. Carry on on this old road and it leads to the Parton river, cross that and continue on for a few miles till you see an old rubber tired wagon. The old road to the south leads to O'connor lake where the outfitter had his camp. At the wagon, head north on an old mining road. there's a black mountain North West a couple of miles in. climb that and you'll find a heavily used sheep trail right on top. that trail on top gives you great views of the country, and that's where I took a ram. although that was 16 years ago.
The mountains are still there so I assume the sheep still there. We saw several grizzlies in the valleys so be cautious. Good Luck.

ColtonMoore, I got the same draw. When are you planning on going up for your hunt? Like you I'm looking for info. Took a stone 2 years ago out of Atlin area. Combed this forum for sheep hunting info before heading out. There's a lot of great wisdom on this forum. It really helped me prepare for my first couple of sheep hunts.
