You know, i never believed those fishing shows where they fished chironomids a few inches under water with a strike indicator until i tried it myself... i still cant figure out why big trout would go out of their way to gobble this up.

After a good hatch, use a throat pump on a trout you catch, iv done it and found the trout stuffed full of them. Its like any hatch, its opportunity

What do you use to coat the chironomid bodies?

A product I order from the UK, beat EVERYTHING I have ever tried, Loon UV, Zap Gap, sally hanson etc

I really like that mayfly.

Overall consider me inspired. I also like your prince nymphs.

As for chronimids, they're the way to go when nothing else is happening on the stillwater.

that mayfly takes a little bit of work as the split tail and extended body is all one feather
