Did anyone else go and get a rack measured? I brought mine and my dads bucks in from this year and was very surprised my dads scored better than mine by a few inches. The best part about it was I won the grand prize for the draw. A Remington 700 BDL Custom Deluxe in .243... All in all I guess It was worth it :D

Well, the old man has a few more inches, but you have a new rifle. Congrats.

Good job on the rifle. I saw a beauty blacktail that scored 154 non typical or 120 typical there. Unreal buck and the hunter had a great story to go with it. The winner had a great mule deer that scored 171 I believe from the Princeton area.

thanks wholesale sports

Ya mine ended up 137 and 7/8 and my dads ended up 144 and 3/8. Mine was wider, taller and had more mass but dads had only 2" of deductions. Mine had the 2 stickers and one slightly smaller tine on the back. Everyone was entered into the draw for the rifle.

Probably gonna sell the .243... I don't really have a use for it. May try to trade it in for the 30-06 model.

Always should have room for a 243. 30-06 not so much.lol

Already have a .223, 25-06, a few .270s... I'm more of a bow guy anyways. This model comes in .243, .270, and 30-06. The .270 is $80 less for some reason and I think the 30-06 would be a little more sought after than the .243???

Stupidest big buck contest I've ever seen. Changes need to be made. Giving the grand prize to whichever animal had the most entries? Dumb. Encourages people to only bring in one of the deer. Not elk, or bear or moose, or sheep or goats. In fact there is little point to bringing those animals in at all. They should let everyone who brings in an animal to be scored from the previous years hunting have a chance at the grand prize. The big buck trophy winner should be the biggest open season animal shot closest to the top of the B&C #1 animal of that type.

Ya it was real nice. They were remeasuring it after it ended because they measured it as a mule deer not knowing it was a Blacktail.
