INTERESTING.....

Built for the Canadian market, this distinguished German company has now introduced the Sauer 100. This new rifle is very similar to the Sauer 101 and features a 3 lug bolt and adjustable trigger. It also carries the same 5 round flush fitting magazine as the Sauer 101.
The Sauer 100 debuted at SHOT Show 2016. It’s Sauer’s most affordable rifle ever, with an MSRP of only $899.00 Can

nothing like a Sauer 80 or 90. Even the 202 were a step down already.

Wow, that's cheap for a Sauer. I bear/moose hunt with a Sauer 80 375 H&H and I've never felt any action as smooth.

Definitely an option against the Tikka's potentially!?
Wonder if it will have an adjustable trigger.
If most of the parts are plastic or not (trigger guard etc)?
Would have like to seen a monte carlo style stock however (just my personal shooting preference)
But thanks for posting....looks like a lot of us will be looking at it and comparing it to the Tikka...IMO

Nothing on the Sig website about it yet... I'd like more details. It looks like a stainless barrel in the video but hard to tell.

I'm not so sure about that.
I know when they do show up, I will definitely look at comparing it to a Tikka, to see what they are like, side by side.
Sauers biggest problem was that they were always on the high end budget.
But man, had I had the money for a Sauer, I would have owned one years ago.
One thing that I like already over the Vangaurds is the total lift angle of the bolt (vanguard bolts have a large lift radius)
And, as WF said, they have an adjustable trigger, which I am sure will be nice (meaning minimal creep/travel)
My one peeve is how often the cheaper model's come with lots of plastic parts.
Anyways, nice to see a Company with a great name adding to the competition in a low budget market.
As consumer's with lower budget's, it means we get more choices for the future, and with competition, means
manufacture's may look to further improve these product over the years....

Every company is making cheap shit these days, I'll stick to having a few nice guns then a bunch of plastic crap. The older Sauers are some of the finest bolt guns available, why sully the brand?

To make money. The bean counters have pretty much taken over everything.

That's the trouble, most all the gun makers are building a cheaper competitive line of rifles and if they want to stay competitive you have to appeal to the American and somewhat Canadian Market.

Looks like a nice rifle and I'm sure will be well built and accurate, nice to see them offering the 6.5x55 and the Creedmoor.

6.5 is a great caliber whether it be 6.5 x 55 or other.

Talked to Shane at Reliable today.
He said they have some on order.
No Stainless yet, but he did say he thinks it will definitely cut into Tikka sales.
Don't get it wrong, they like selling their Tikkas, but he said this product is not to bad at all for the money.
