I'll post a better pic of the unit later. My friend built it all, even forged the iron for the spit in his garage. The spit is detachable, and can be driven into the ground anywhere. yes it is a old drum cut in half, then welded up. We just use the charcoal hardwood for fuel. Sometimes I'll add some Mesquite, or some wood chips, but usually just stick to the hardwood blend or the Royal Oak stuff.

Wow. Makes my double barrel smoker look like childsplay. Any idea how hot that puppy runs how do you find adjusting temps that way? Just raise or lower the meat or just flip often?
