Hi there, I will be spending a few days in Kamloops and wonder what's a good pub for dinner! Preferably something with a outdoor theme ie horns nailed to the wall type decor! Any recommendations?

Noble pig is a brew pub with really good eats (and beer if you like the craft stuff). Don't remember antlers on the wall though..

McCracken Station Pub down in the near end of Valleyview is decent, no outdoorsy / hunter theme though.

I don't know about that, the last time I was in there they had some pretty good looking Cougar's serving.

I use to go to the Franklin quite a bit, Kammy Inn wasn't too bad either if you like fighting, Stockmens Hotel, Davey Thompson, still got lots of scars from the odd dispute in the Village Hotel, Westsyder was just a quick walk through the field from my place back then too. So ya, drink til you puke through your Nose, and have Fun doing it!!!

You missed the old Leland, or the Rendezvous. Showing your age, me thinks.

All the best hunters in Kamloops were raised at the Westsyder pub! I have had more meals there than any other non fast food joint.

Montana's has real good food and the service is good. All surrounded by timber and outdoorsy stuff. And Wholesale sports is a straight rifle shot down the road

All kidding aside, the noble pig is good? I'm gonna be in town March 18, and I'd like to dine and have a unique Kamloops dining experience! Moosin

The Noble pig has been rated as one of the best brew pubs in BC and Canada by multiple food writers and beer writer/enthusiasts. Its all food made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients and beer made in house. Its locally owned by the head chef and manager. After a good beer there head over to red collar brewery and try some more beer made in house by the same guy who helped start the noble pig, not a restaurant just a beer room attached to the brewery.

good deep fried pickles at Noble...yes deep fried pickles...I was hesitant myself until I tried them. Not a fan of their beer but I am in the minority I guess. Yaletown is better.
