A community in Siberia that is about 100 years behind technologically. It mainly follows the life of a trapper there and his day to day life. Amazing how much can be done with so little.

Awesome movie(s). The things that guy can do with an axe are impressive.

I just finished watching this program.
Yes it is impressive how deft that one guy is with his axe.
Herzog made it clear near the end that guy's son's dog ran 150 km. alongside his snowmobile to get back to the village for New Years and Christmas celebrations. It looked like they were doing at least 15 km. per hour as well, don't know if it was that steady for the whole trip but holy Christ!!
