Any advice appreciated. I am entering the LEH for grizzly in kamloops and am wondering if anyone has information they would be willing to share about good areas to look for bears. PM me if you prefer. If i get a tag I will be going in the may 5 to 15th area. I have a 338 win mag which is my island bear gun and back up 12 gauge coach gun. I have lots of experience hunting vancouver island bears deer and grouse and would be willing to share some good spots. I will be using a polaris or similar vehicle. The area i will be entering for is either 3-43 or 3-44

Two bear hunters wake up in the middle of the night in Port Alberni to a growling sound. Look at the stars says one hunter. Yeah but what do you think happened to our tent? said the other.

Last year they doubled the grizzly draws in 3-44. More hunters, less room, some bears.

3:44 sign suggested a sow with two cubs...period....not confident she even had the second cub by late sept..

these roads your telling me about are they in the backroads map book? Im coming up from Victoria and have only been to kamloops once. Thanks very much for the info you provided gives me a good idea where to look once i find the maps haha. Thunder and mill edge and mantou are logging roads im guessing? Ps how do you win the draw that many times shit? Lucky or are there just really good odds. Thanks again

awesome thanks man i am going to buy the book tonight and study. Even if i dont win. Just found out that the place i work rents polarises and bobcat 4x4s and my boss said hell give me a good deal. Before that a trip to the interior was kind of out of sight but now...... must be crazy hunting out there in the fall hey with all the snow?

I'm not sure how often you get to the mainland but these zones are nowhere near Kamloops! Not trying to be a dink but the Grizzlies in Kamloops title might be throwing some potential advice givers off! I have no intel for ya but it's beautiful country up there and getting out exploring in the spring sounds awesome. Good luck to you!

You definatly aren't overthinking anything here, not at all...we aren't gonna tell you every little detail. Go just explore it, you'll figure it out.
