My blacktail mount is home

[Brew]

This mount took a while because I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted to do. Was going to do a full body mount but life changed when I had my daughter and space and money can be used elsewhere. It turned out better than I had hoped.
Ray Wiens did the work and his talent sure shines with this one. The buck scored 133 gross 117 net

Thanks guys. I'll try and find the link to the hunt. It wasn't much of a hunt. I knew the buck was in the area and stopped in after work to go for a hike. Didn't even get the truck parked and he was cruising for does out in the open. it made up for the few years that I hunted that spot hard I guess.

is there something in the mount itself that would tell you it's a BT vs a muley..I only know of the tail marking but to others that know, is there something in the face/head to definitively I.D. it as a blacktail and not a muley?

Double throat patch is quite rare on mulies... Common on blacktails... This one is not too obvious but definitely there.
