Thinking of putting in for a whitetail LEH in this area. I would be putting in for a first year hunters tag. Is there a lot of pressure in this area, and what is the population numbers like?

Thanks
James

Region 8-12 is a great bet for whities, try conckle lake area (Johnson flats and other side by westbridge), Christian valley etc.. there is pressure but anywhere within 4 hours from hell will have it though, go north my friend!

8-09, 10,12,14,15 are all good bets with high density populations. 8-22 through 26 also have pretty good pops for the most part, sometimes access issues and I'm not sure if they all have WT doe LEH.

They are in 8-8 though; if you do put in and get the draw there's a few of us that can point you in the right direction. Send PM if you do put in and get the draw.

Good Luck.

Thats my back yard, theres lots of hunters yes, but no different than anywhere else! The whities are around in small patches here and there, If you dont know where to look you might not see any! Like the others said try the east side of the valley, way more whities over there!

Used to live in Peachland. There actually is a fair amount of whiteys in that unit. If you get the draw PM me and I can give ya some pointers. Don't think things have change too much since I lived there.

If anything, the whitey pop has gotten better on the westside! But theyre still in pockets, not exactly everywhere in this region like the muleys!

Yes, they sure have changed...the place is now infested with starlings!

As others have said, there are whities there, but you have to know where to look. It wouldn't be my first choice MU for a flat top.
