Wondering what condition Parsnip road is in from Mackenzie to Finlay in late September/early October? Would it be ok to trailer a boat on? We're looking to run a boat from Finlay to the mouth of the Ospika. Any info that could be provided about the area (7-37) or alternative methods of travel would be appreciated. Please PM, if necessary. Thank you!

We've lauched on the opposite side to f the lake and gone to the Ospika........ Launched from Mesilinka arm. Lake Can be BAD at times, tugs have gone down in there. The mouth of the Ospika also can get jammed with logs if your up there if the wind is wrong. Some big moose up there. Sheep way back.

There's a really good launch on the omineca at the 172 km bridge now. Road was good when I travelled it last fall a bunch of times. Bring a good radio with all the new RR channels. Lots of logging traffic.

Parsnip is a rough and windy road. Traveled on it many times throughout the summer and it sucked every single time. The road is in need of a lot of work. Big rocks sticking out of the road, grader can't do much with it.

It will be fine. I use it every fall on multiple trips. It's your best bet to get to 7-37. It's a straight shot across the lake. It gets ruff and windy during the afternoon. If your taking a quad in your boat travel early or late.
