We have to remember when in the woods at this time of year that this is the biggest test for survival for the animals. When we are out and about in the forest and see wildlife do not worry them at all, leave them alone. To chase the animals to get a better looks puts unnecessary stress on them.

Totally agree! This is especially a concern in regard to the snowmobilers.
What you may think is harmless fun to watch animals run could very well
contribute to their death.

I applied some stress to these animals that were trying to survive

Tradeoff will be less stress on other animals :D

Nice to see there's some hunters out there who get it. Maybe one day Duallie will get it too. Not holding my breath though!

Nice work Bartell. I've been doing more shooting than killing so far this winter.

I agree 100% just got back from a 5 hour hike in the woods saw lots of game animals I stopped let them walk away then I went around them,,this thread target many more things than just walking in the woods meaning the use of snowmobiles trapping quads with tracks on them and lots more..

It all depends on what kind of shed hunter they are ??? there are many different things out in the wild that will push animals I said this on another thread
its all about how a person thinks about the whole when he or she approaches a wild animal I have a video on a few mule deer today I will post this
video up later the video shows all of you on what a person should do when he or she approaches a deer or other when there out for a walk in God's country..

If your out shed hunting right now. You will be pushing animals! No doubt about it. The deer are dropping right now. So they will be where their antlers are.

Wayne, good on you. I would be pretty confident in saying that the majority of others out in the woods aren't nearly as in tune with these things as you are. It's not people like you who are the problem. Quite the opposite.

How much stress is put on pregnant females when they get pushed around several times a month/week/day? Many hunters don't give this much thought.

I don't think hunters are a problem. They understand.

It's the hipsters on their cross-country skis and snowshoes that see one deer a year and try to get as much footage as they can.

In all reality, animals get pushed around by all sorts of variables in their environment. Somebody walking around shed hunting isn't going to bother them that much.
