I am thinking of buying a bipod. Does anyone have any imput on which one I should buy? I was thinking of buying a Harris Ultra Light Pivoting Bipod. Has anyone used one of these? I don't have any experience with bipods at all. Any suggestions on the height that I should get? The Harris ones come in four sizes, I am thinking the 13.5-27" would be best but I'm not sure.
6-9"
8-13"
11-25"
13-1/2 to 27".

Here is the link where I found them. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602007-cat20774_TGP&id=0005825220692a&navCount=2&podId=0005825&parentId=cat20774&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=UG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20774&hasJS=true

I have the Harris 13.5 to 27 but the non-swivel kind. I love it, would not hunt without it. Awesome for mid to long shots. It is great because I can shoot with it lying down, sitting or kneeling. The craftsmanship is great, would not buy a knock-off brand, definately buy the Harris.

moved the thread to the hunting gear forum...instead of the buy and sell.

I too love my harris bipod. worth packing around the extra weight. As for which one. Go with the one thats the correct height for you to sit with it and it be high enough to look through your scope.

13-27 will allow you to shoot from a sitting position which is good, downside is they're heavier and bulkier

9-13" is fine for bench shooting and prone

definetely go with the pivot model

Does anyone know where to pick one up for a resonable price in Canada?

Hey, I bought a shooters edge bipod not to long ago, paid somewhere about $75 for it, and I dont like it, I'll sell it to you for $50 shipped, if you want it. I think its a 9-13.

Another question I should have asked is weather or not the Harris' pivot up and down too or just side to side. Do any pivot both ways?
