We thought we would go before the long weekend off road rally. I was in 2-19 looking for black bears with a buddy and his g.f. on Tuesday May 15 (the day it was 28 degrees in the Fraser Valley). The side line road that was accessible last year had about 50 trees blown down across it 400m in from the main line:sad:. Parked the truck and we walked 3 1/2 km and gained about 400 m in elevation. We were trying to get to a slash at the top of no tellum mountain and we ran into snow at 800m (on the north side) . Saw 4 bears down low, none big enough to be shooters. It was better than being at work:) .
