Thanks, it was a good hunt. Creating these films definitely takes time, but it is looking good so far.

It really all depends what you want to achieve. A dedicated camcorder will not get you the color diversity that a dslr or a mirroless camera can. If you go the dslr/mirroless route then you definitely have flexibility with colorgrading, but also need to invest in an external mic. Making these films is much more than the camera. You need good editing software and a computer that can handle a lot of data. Then you have to think about a tripod, head, and any other camera support and or gear you would like.

What I am really trying to say is the price all depends on the picture you want to achieve, and nothing in filmmaking is cheap. When you talk gear you are usually talking into the thousands. Plus, quality music can add up fast. I am just in my infancy of this great hobby. My suggestion is to study non-hunting filmmakers and see what style you gravitate to and then use that for a hunting theme.
