I'll be in the 100 mile region from Dec. 27-30th and would like to commit a day to predator hunting (especially coyotes).
I have never hunted them before, can anyone suggest to me an area to try for one and if any one specific hunting method prevails over others in the area?
thank you

I'd hit the rolling hills around the 111. Plenty of 'yotes in that area.

+1 for longbow lake as well. Went scouting around up there last fall, tracks everywhere, and one big mf'er. We haven't explored that area before or after for some reason but it's prime. Moose and deer prints everywhere. It seems as if everyone continues further east, north or spit to hunt, putting pressure on the animals and they've found refuge in longbow area as all the hunters pass by thinking it's too close to residential areas for good hunting.
Theres a spot about 1km south west of Earle lake that is just insane with rubs. Nearly every tree for as far as the eye can see 360degrees around you as you walk through is rubbed. Hundreds of old and new rubs.

East of 70 mile pick a logging road all have fresh wolf, coyote and cat track. West of 100 mile is full of wolves and coyotes. Every time a bit of snow hits the ground I always seem to see fresh sign. Lots of cats this year as well... good luck I might see you out there.
