Spring snow geese

Friend of mine was talking about this season in Ab and Sask, curious if anybody has ever done this, all my shooting has been lower mainland or the island. If it's reasonably easy to get access (no trespass fees?) sounds like it could be a great hunt. Any suggestions on timing or areas of the provinces to check out would be greatly appreciated.

East central Alberta is where you want to be but timing is everything. The snow geese make a pretty short stopover as they head north and it's all weather dependent so it's tough to plan in advance. Access is typically pretty easy. Trespass fees are illegal in Alberta.

The return flight paths are some what different to the fall migration. You need to find some one that can put you on that return route. That said .... In Sask its 30 a day in the spring and LBL ! so ya stay for a month and bring home 900 Snows !

Quit wanting to and just do it. Its a blast .... or a few hundred blasts !
