Picked up this beauty today from DEL SELIN GUNSMITH.
Tikka T3 w/ Hunter Stock. .204 Ruger with Nikon Prostaff 3.5-14 BDC.
Anyone in the Okanagan-Shuswap need some coyotes toasted? Gotta try this on a dog!

Bears are out, why don't you try a bait and call type of thingie. You might get some.

What do you mean by a bait and call? 204 a bit small for bears?

Bears are out of sight -gone to sleep- safe to bait for coyotes/wolves etc
Sorry, I should have elaborated a little more.

I have always wanted a 204 ,Ruger. Tell us how it is for the yotes. I have them and a few cats that come in my yard. I cannot shoot where I live.

Sighted it in yesterday. Shoots amazing, but having ejection issues. Back to the gunsmith on wednesday. Kept dropping the brass before it could eject it.
If anyone wants some coyotes gone, let me know!

Let me know what the fix is. I have a Savage Lt Wt Hunter that does the same damn thing. Weak ejection.

So apparently it is the ammunition. Sounds like a bad batch of brass from hornady.

There's certainly no shortage of coyotes in the Fraser Valley and all the cities within it.
When I drove trucks in Vancouver I would see them even down on the docks.
My dog chased 2 of them from in front of my place in Mission last night. They seem to
keep the cat population in check around here quite nicely.

Nice rifle, if I had to pick a coyote rig that gun right there would be near the top of the list, but with a Leupold ;)

I've seen Coyotes along the 5A this fall, also heard some and seen a lot of tracks in the Lac Le Jeune to Dairy lakes valleys.
