Has the abundance of snow up north this winter taken it's toll on the moose and deer populations? Specifically wondering about the PG and Smithers areas.

If I lived in an area where there was lots of snow and the deer, moose or elk were starving and suffering I'd offer a warmer place for them to stay than outside in the snow. There would be more than enough room in my warm freezer for a couple of deer, moose and elk.  ;)

A friend in Ft St John said that the Tic's are real bad also so here hoping that the winter wasn't to bad so they can survive for the hunt this fall.

yeah the moose have survived the long hard winter up around houston and smithers quite well. but now they are getting hit real hard by the tics. its actually a real shame.

Was out yesterday overnight just north of PG seen a lot of moose and quite a few bears still too much snow to drive most roads though.

spent yesterday south west of prince george, covered a ton of country, saw about fifty deer and a couple of bears, no moose, did see a good deal of moose sign in the wintering grounds, deer were all in really good shape, snow seemed to be pretty much gone up to the 4000 foot level.
