Well the season for me has come and gone I could had taken a bull elk this year it would had been 6 years straight that I cut my bull elk tag not this year I let two legal bulls walk the main reason I let the two bulls walk was because I had lots of meat from last years hunt and I was looking for a bull that tops my biggest to date not this year.

I had a fantastic season on trail cam pictures as for camping and helping others get there animal to me getting an animal is second best to that of having good company around the campfire at night and telling lies LOL.

I did tag a decent WT buck this year as you all know the bear needed to have some meat as well I came close on getting a mule deer if they only had one more point LOL I am counting the days down right now till I head for bow season next year Aug 27 I will be there in the West Kootenays setting up my summit tree stand and doing some scouting for Mr big ;).

The count down is 71 days till I head out for my 2016 shed season I don't have to wait to long before I am back out into the mountains doing what I love doing,,can't wait till I can post some fresh sheds in the new year ,,till then I will be doing lots around my place to get caught up with all the things I let side in the 2015 year,,,H-47..

It has been great reading of your 2015 hunting endeavours. You may not have been as "successful" as other years, but next year will be better.

You really ought to get into trapping Wayne, have you ever thought of that for the winter months? Even if you just did a trade for someones vacant line for some pelts?

Tag in with your bud on the island and do a cougar hunt (4 legged )... cross that off your bucket list. ..

Or you could spend your winter hunting coyotes... very frustrating and addictive...
