It's been crazy busy at the shop in preparation for the christmas shows. I managed to get some time away from the knife making to do my favorite part of the job, knife testing ;) I shot two blacktails less than a week apart! I love the rut! Both were taken on classic BT hunting days, drizzly and foggy. The first was a spiker that I happened across on a road while returing from a camping trip. The second was a 3x2 (only just) , much heavier bodied and my biggest BT to date (this one was when I was actually hunting, on foot)! Very happy to have meat in the freezer again. Many thanks to my awesome hunting partner ("beard" on the forum here) Now to fill my WT tag... Good luck to all of you during the rut!
