Hi guys

Just looking for some input from anyone that has used any of the electronic calls as to which ones seem to be the best out there. Be calling coyotes and possibly wolves

thanks

Primos makes some good units but Foxpro is THE electronic predator call to get.

Thanks for the input guys. Is there any specific model of fox pro that's better than the others

depends on your budget. Also plenty of discontinued models on the used market.

All of the digital Foxpro's seem to have good sound. My Fury 2 has adequate sound quality and volume with lots of bells and whistles that I never use. The small Scorpion model gets the most use since it is always in my vest. They both use the same sound tracks.

An old MP3 player, wireless microphone and an "quality" external speaker makes for an inexpensive rig that has better fidelity than many of the lower cost e-callers.

Have any of you used the decoy attachments like the Foxjack on the calls and do you think they make a difference

If you are not worried about missing out on the cats and don't expect wolves in the area take your dog with you.

Another vote for Foxpro I have/use an FX3 and the jack in the box decoy.

Last Dec 28 I was at a friends ranch we set up the decoy & FX3 did a double check with the remote to make sure it was working 2 - 3 seconds of coyote locator (pack howling) then shut it off.

We had just made it back to the tree we were going to set up under hadn't even sat down when we had a coyote standing no more than 30 yards to our right everything happened so fast that it got away with a fast shot missing it appr 1" over its back.

max 20 min later a second coyote came in to the call/decoy was using injured rabbit at that time = it hit the dust

Kept the call/decoy going switching from injured rabbit to pack locator to female invitation and back to injured rabbit appr 30 min later a third coyote came in and hit the dust.

I have had coyotes come in from over 900 yards across a logging cut to get to the decoy/call.

I do not go coyote hunting without my set up key is to always pack spare batteries they do not last very long on the colder hunts I do.

I also pack in a Foxpro injured woodpecker decoy that I clip to a branch.

I am never with out a backup mouth call my favourite is a Primos KIYI its a clear orange plastic.

I have a FoxPro as well. Have shot 2 coyotes off of it and over 1600 crows. Works well but I hear there's better ones out there. Have no other experience other than with mine.
