ugh I gotta work in the morning and I've been up since 5am. That's too much work. It isn't a super impressive buck anyways, I'll get a monster next year, or maybe yet this year if my dad comes out to my spot and I can fill his tag too lol.

Well, I spent all of October and half of Sept searching around Kamloops for an area that I could hunt without having 4oo trucks drive by every 10 minutes. I narrowed down to two spots. Hunted my first spot hard, then went into my secondary spot this morning, early, like 530 in the morning early.... I was walking in with my headlamp on and spooked two deer that were bedded down when I was about 50 yards from them.

So I stuck around the area until it got light out, moved to a second stand of trees about 100 meters away and spotted a spike fork buck once it got light out.... Waited another half hour.... started to walk out, and on my way out I saw some deer at the edge of the tree line. My brother was with me and I don't have nice bino's so he was spotting for me with some friggen Walmart specials and he told me he saw 4 points on the buck in the middle, so I took the shot. It's a nice deer, good eating I should guess as it wasn't stinky at all, but I saw some sheds in the area which make me think there is a big ******* around. Oh well, gives me something to work for next year!!

Deer hunting is great, I am hoooooooked. If my freezer wasn't full I would go search for some white tails lol

Oh ya I definitely brought it home its pretty neat. Thought maybe I could use it with on of my others to try and rattle for deer?

Congrats to you, and your Brother!!! Any chance you can e-mail a picture to one of our members who can post it on this thread? If anyone can do it, let Logan know, and then we can see your buck!!!

You must'a been tired, at the end of your post you "Mistakenly" said you can "fill his tag too", where as you meant to say "I can help "Dad" fill his tag"! And hey, you can still go out for a huge White Tail Buck, there's still lots of time left to this hunting season! And take lots of pictures!

Like I said he's not the trophy I was really after, but if I bring my dad out to fill his tag for the year and I find that monster I know is lurking around I will post a pic of it for sure now that I know how lol
