Thinking of putting in for a Van Elk draw, wondering if anyone has any insight, not sure between Sayward or Gold River

I put in for white river every year, but you know how it goes. Still waiting.

I heard there is no elk on Vancouver Island. I wouldn't bother putting an leh in for Island elk. No elk here, nothing to see, move along please.:biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

Yes sir ,if i had to put in LEH for roosies it would be the Benson valley Zone A is better then Zone B ,Zone A is were the bulls are ,B is were the two cows are. hunter47.

Rumour has it that if you enter an invalid code on your LEH ballot, they automatically place you in a highly productive area with trophy bulls. So that is my suggestion to all hoping for the elk hunt of a lifetime here on the Island :)

yes they are closing things down everywhere, they have even closed all moose in region 7 oh well heard the hunting at the zoo is good

Island Elk are for Vancouver island residents only, it's in the regs, special closure section. Sorry to all mainlanders who were hoping to apply, it's an island thing.

Well then why did cecil from Huston BC get an elk last year hear on the island ????. I would think he ether knows someone in the victoria LEH section ,or he shot one without a permit ????. :???: :???: :???: :???: hunter47.
