All I can say is wow people and the Media have so many ideas on what happened!
So many facts that are completely crazy! Lol
For one:
-I wasn't in a blind !
-the sow charged me from 90-100 yards away !
-I forgot my defence gun in the truck. And by the time I realized it
I was already bumping into the elk!
-I fired one arrow into the grizz at point blank.
She stopped her charge as she was knocked back.
-she shook and proceeded to charge and stand up and attack me.
- I used my bow as a shield and repeatedly stabbed her with several uppercuts.
- Untill the fmj arrow stuck so deep into her guts that I could it pull it out.
- the next arrow I was stabbing at her eyes.
- then I smacked her in the face with my Hoyt bow.
- she went over backwards an fell of the steep bank we were fighting on.
- I was by my self ! I did not have the grizzly Cubs tied to a tree! And
pretty sure I wasn't poking them with a sharp stick! When MoMA bear found me?
There are so any miss truths and miss information.
-Not to mention All the politics to sound good to the media, thanks to Cecil.
- there is so much more to the attack but I won't get into all the details on here.
i wish that everyone stays safe and remembers to cherish their loved ones- daily!

glad to hear your doing well Chad, in 2013 my hunting partner and i went through the same thing. I had to stop looking at the comments on the social media channels..it is amazing as to how many un-educated extremest are out there that have no idea what we as hunters do, and or have no clue at all. All those hours you spent keeping in shape, and all the blood and sweat you wiped off your brow training, sure as hell was worth it now! There's not to many guys out there that can say they went Toe to Toe with a Grizzly, and dam well won! It's to bad that you, like the other bear attack survivor's that posted on here have to read comments from people that have never set foot in bear country, yet they run off at the mouths, and then the bloody news media seems to side with them! Thanks for posting the "Truth"!
