Of all the miles ive hiked.. I have yet to see a deer (other than on a farmers field). At least I could find moose (although none I could legally shoot). :)

Agree fully Cyrus, the itch starts tomorrow and I'll be scratching it starting Nov 12th for the week that follows in the snowy mountains at 4900 ft.

The pressure won't die down in reg8 and parts of reg3, where spike fork moose starts tommorow..

For the final day of any buck it poured here in Kelowna in the AM so I stayed home. Regretting it now.

On the up side I can see a bit of SNOW on one hill above Kelowna.

Gets me excited to see that.

I did because I was able to get out. Perfect morning , hit fresh snow at about 1500 m. as the light came on , found a fresh track an hour later, then followed it for three hours in the fog and snow and wind. Saw him once , for a moment , just enough to get the heart thumping.

He's still out there ........

Rain didn't keep me away I picked up my hard luck buddy and drove 1.5 hours to Christian valley. First deer I saw was a 4 point WT. Blew that opportunity with waisting time checking for horns with binos. By the time I had my rifle up he was booking. Not long later my hunting bud gets a golden opportunity on a nice WT right where I sent him. Buck runs 20 yds stops and all he can see is head neck, some back and neck shoots him at 50yds with my son's 243. Sweet. Nice 3 point with no brow tines at all.He says there was another buck with it.So long drive too be heading back at noon but I didn't want him to have to wait on me hunting all day. I got my meat buck a 2 point mule 2 weeks ago. Rain made for a quiet morning in the bush was great.

Went out for the first time ever with my buddy yesterday in the Princton area, pissed rain all day but we got up into some snow and saw quite a few does and fawns. We didn't get one ourselves but two minutes ahead of us a couple of guys from Abbottsford got a huge 4 point. My buddy has hunted deer for 30 years and said it was one of the biggest mulies he had ever seen. The cool thing for me was seeing the rack on it, not only was it thick and tall, but it was the coolest dark chocolate colour, never knew they could be that colour. Enjoyed it immensely, and can't wait to get back out and try again.
