If hunting out of a 12 foot car topper in the marsh, do you guys usually stash the boat in tall grass and hide yourselves away from it, or do you hunt right out of the boat.

My boat is unpainted, bare metal and I'm worried the boat is spooking the birds.

Any help is appreciated.

Hide the boat well, it will sure spook the birds.

Burlap sacks can work wonders if you want to stay in your boat. ;)

You can buy burlap off the roll at gardening centres - Then you can measure it to your boat length. It is cheap

Go to a place that roasts coffee - they give burlap sacks away for free. Plus they'll keep you awake!

This would be good for a makeshift deer blind. Thanks for the idea.

When hunting Ladner area, do most people hunt out of the boat, or just stash it, and set up close by?

I always hunted out of the boat and jus pulled the boat into the weeds. I painted it camo and never seemed to have a problem. Be careful if the tide is up as there are some deep ditches in there.
