Heating or cooking ?
Lots of options available. Have used a heavy cylinder stove but it stays at the camp site once it is there. Have used collapsible and rigid sheepherder stoves , not many suppliers but they are out there. Cabelas , Outfitters Supply , Kni-Co ,
some of the tent manufacturers also.

Someone on here was making propane tank stoves , from The Island iirc ??.

If weight is an issue , these are the best

Geo stove is a lightweight & compact diesel heater. Have to pack fuel but good option for places like the Tat with no firewood for miles. Packed 5 gallons of fuel on a fly in this year and lasted entire trip(7 days)

Depends on the size of the stove and the size of the boxes. Some of them fit some don't. Usually put it on the same horse as the wall tent/camp gear. Check outfitters supply.

Sometimes if you don't have a collapsible you just make do lol:

The yurt style wall tents are lighter, only need one pole and they're usually cheaper as well.

Huh, didn't mention that one , the most common tin stove. Custom trimmed pipe fits inside.
as they say 'form always follows function' !

I am actually in the process of buying the Ellis stove. It is a lightweight, foldable stove. We were able to borrow one this year on our elk hunt in the EK. When folded, it did fit into our large-sized Custom Packrigging boxes. The stove worked flawlessly, and gave off a tremendous amount of heat. The one we borrowed didn't have a stove pipe damper, so burn time was obviously much shorter than what would be expected with a damper. I highly recommend it, and look forward to using mine next year. Just yesterday, Butch Ellis quoted me $357 US shipped to my door in the WK. International purchases receive a $50 cost savings on the price, so pretty reasonable.

Kifaru makes a pretty cool unit. Definitely not cheap though.

Ok. . I take it back. It's dirt cheap compared to some of the others. Holy crap. That geo stove is neat, but $$$&&&

Diesel seems simpler, but there is something about a wood stove that I like. Can't decide between the Wildeness 4 and the Trekker Pioneer.

I’ve got a Yukon 1950 stove. I’ve never measured it but I would figure it 10”x10”x20”. I’ve only used it with diesel and wood but it’s supposed to burn coal as well. Great little unit imo

I don't see knico stoves mentioned. Are they decent?

They seem decent, but don't have a door gasket so not sure if that would be an issue with a slow burn overnight.

Shout out to Deakin Equipment. Ordered a diesel heater yesterday am from Van, at my front door this afternoon in Vic. They even beat the lowest price I could find.
