I will start by saying i am a rather new hunter got my pal and my hunting licence last year, filled my tags got a little 3 by 2 mulie and a 3 point whitetail. I have been hunting with friends for years before that and have learned alot from them hunting is definetly in my blood hooked, i also just found this website and find it more than entertaining really love everyones stories. Okay so here it goes i hunted hard so far this year hunting different areas in region 8 pounding lots of ground on foot seen lots of deer and little bucks tons of 2 points but i was keen on not being trigger happy and waiting for something abit larger in caliber. I have been hunting this same large mulie all year which i seen out of season last year and twice this year but once season started he dissapeared hes a brute huge tall frame really hard okanagan terrain to hunt. So my buddy and i went out i had one day off from a course i was doing and i was staying in oliver at a friends driving out to kelowna daily the morning began we were out the door at 615 am he wanted to go higher up in elevation to check some trail cams and i wanted to stay low being that he had plans later in the day we went to the spot i wanted. We drove the truck up to the spot got out and began hiking down hopefully catching the deer coming up in the am. We made our way down very slowly stopping at each bump glassed other bumps we could see and the bench anddraw we were working our way down to we seen lots of deer theyre last year but havent been in there since last year no roads and next to zero pressure in this area. As were making our.way down there is next to no track or fresh droppings as we got down to the bench we started to see sign. Were walking through the.sage and see a 2 point mulie looking at us as were checking him out does start busting out behind him and they run straight for a nice wide draw we just peaked over into 5 min before. We got to the cliff edge and those mulies were wayyy infront of us making there way up we look down bam shooter buck grazin his way up 300 yards. I layed down waited till he stopped boom! He ran parralel with the hillside 50 yards closer stopped again Boom buck down. When we got down to him i found out that my first bullet just grazed him and the second one was right in the back of the head.(been doing ALOT of shooting this year and know my .308 well) after we gutted it out we did a nice drag down to the next road about a good kilometer got it in the truck whole. Here it is my first 4 point

Use a hosting site like photbucket. Then just copy the img code and paste it here. There is an app. Good story and nice work
