*Spoiler* no deer killed :D

Twas a fun & cold weekend in the Princeton area. Our "Nah, it won't be that cold" idea of bringing up the wall tent sure sounded really good when we woke up the first morning to -9 degrees in a nylon tent. The first night, I counted 9 mulies (3 does 6 fawns in different groups) and that turned out to be all we saw the rest of the time. Hunted from about 4500 feet to 7000 feet. On the last night, I pushed it to the top of Placer Mountain. Elevation on the GPS said 7220 feet. Pretty cold up there. Does anyone know what this green structure on top is? (Pic Below). Overall a fun weekend!

I left that green thing up there a few years ago...to replace the old one.
Its a repeater communications building for the Ministry Of Forests (or FLNRO now). It allows Ministry staff to communicate to the main dispatch centre in Kamloops from the area south of Princeton.
Its the 'yellow' repeater at Placer if my memory serves me.

One of the many giant green dildos you can find around our province.

Wicked view for sure... Now can anyone tell me the history of Placer Gold Mine?

You've got to be a bit careful up in that neck of the woods....there are many long unused
mining related holes etc.
