Most birds roost at night. Chukars usually go to water twice a day. Find the water and you will find the birds. Luckily the water is often at the bottom of the mountain or hill they are on. So twice a day they march down the hill.

I saw a flock of 8 or so going across a road in 3-30 last week, I wasn't sure what they were until I did some googling later on.

The Dog and I hit the Chukar hills this weekend. Got into a few coveys each day. Probably saw 50-60 birds. Couple of pics: http://i1370.photobucket.com/albums/ag241/blair_gray6/photo%203_zpsrvnlzoxo.jpg (http://s1370.photobucket.com/user/blair_gray6/media/photo%203_zpsrvnlzoxo.jpg.html)

Limit of chukars, an awesome hunt made sure I stayed above them and still had a few shells left over haha

Nice... very nice! I'll be skipping them this year (heading to Nebraska for some bird hunting in a couple weeks) but I love Chukar hunting and will have at them again next fall. They usually un-nerve me and I almost always blow it somehow - but it's usually my last hunt of the year and the scenery is always great

Really cool looking birds!!! :-D

Wish they had those up here in the North Coast . . . :-/

Looks like a great way to spend time.
