Taken in my back yard about 5 min ago. He's still lying out there. I live right in the middle of town! Remind me again why people actually live in cities?

Don't wait for Sept. Get one now - then you'll be all set to go by hunting season.

Are those nubbins he's starting to grow?

OK you got closer, you win! :D Mine was from about 12-15' away. Wasn't bothered by me at all tho.

And yes those are 'nubbins' growin'. they're starting to fork already too. Hard to see in the pics.

Gonna be a nice buck. I have lots on my trail cam with nubbins up to 3" long but none have started to fork yet.

Haha, I've got one of those....we've got 3 deer that basically live in the lower horse pasture, and one has nubbins....he might be bow fodder come fall.

Couple years ago this guy was frequenting the backyards of my neighbor's and my house. I saw him last year just after he dropped his head gear. So far this year I haven't seen him.

Murder isn't this the one you posted last year that was in full rigor so you propped him up? Those eyes are looking pretty dead...
Steve.

There was a doe on the other side of a chain link fence one summer afternoon. She was chewing on the shrubbery - I was sitting under some shade enjoying a 'pop' with a buddy. We were talking in normal voices when we noticed her stick her head out of the scrub bushes.

She chewed her slow way closer for a while, took a few steps closer, chewed again, looked up at us and proceeded to drop her hind end a bit and P.

She was at approx. 10 - 12 feet away before she turned and wandered off - totally unconcerned. We continued talking all the time she was wandering closer. She could have cared less. Unfortunately - no camera at the time....does that count?
