We had a great 7 day hunt, it started with the long drive north only to arrive to find the last 18kms what could better be discribed as a mudslide than a road. We set up camp and spent the next 2 days on the quads traveling cuts and old trails looking for sign. We found a very promising area that we decided to hunt, it was about 20kms from camp along a challenging trail. For the next 5 days, we quaded in the 20 kms parked and walked. We saw a fare number of moose but none that presented a good shot. On the morning of day 5, my hunt partner was walking the north trail and took a tasty little butterball.http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz152/btridge/2015%20Moose%20hunt%20007.jpg (http://s823.photobucket.com/user/btridge/media/2015%20Moose%20hunt%20007.jpg.html)We sent the next 12 hours getting him out in 1 piece on my little home built trailer. On day 6, we arrived at the area we were walking only to be followed in by a native hunter on quad. He rode around us and stopped about every 500 yards to call, he repeated this untill he was out of view. He never got off [IMG]http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz152/btridge/2015%20Moose%20hunt%20011.jpg (http://s823.photobucket.com/user/btridge/media/2015%20Moose%20hunt%20011.jpg.html)the bike, Just turned it off and started calling. We returned to camp early a little frustrated. The next morning we got up early and headed back to the same place, we arrived just at legal light to start our walk, I walked about 2km and sat down and made 3 cow calls. 20 minutes later I heard a loud crack behind me, I got up and started to get the wind in my favor. something made me stop and look over my shoulder down the cut I had been watching, A COW crossing, I turned in time to see A BULL hot on her heals, I gave a loud grunt to try to stop him, too my amazement he turned, dropped his head and bolted about 20yards closer. I guessed about 200yds as the crosshairs settled on the tuft of hair in the centre of his forehead, My 338wm recoiled and the bull dissappeared. the bull was behind a slight rise, He dropped in his tracks, I had missed the tuft of hair by 1/2 inch. 9 hours and a lot of winching and we had number 2 bull out in 1 piece.

Congrats. Great pictures and thanks for sharing your story. I am getting very tired of the political rants. I come onto this website to read about hunting, not politics and you delivered.

Congrats on taking a couple of tasty bulls!

Nice that you and your partner could each got one.

I'm thinking of doing a trailer build for my quad, any chance we could see your build?
