Last year I had a young lady join our hunting party at the cabin. Candace is a big part of my life and has always been looked upon as the daughter I never had. To my surprise, she made it clear she wanted to be a part of the hunts. She recently moved to Kamloops and has started to show a real interest in the outdoors.
The very next first morning with Candace in tow, I harvested a 4 point buck.

This would be the tipping point for Candace in hunting's favor. She was determined to get her lic., which she did last summer. Her grandfather in his late 80's made the decision to give his granddaughter his pristine Browning 7mm, which he had purchased new in the 1970's.
She was good to go!
Unfortunately I had surgery looming and my window of opportunity was small, but we were determined to make it work. The same hunting part assembled with a common goal of getting Candace her first buck.
The stars aligned as we seen better than 1/2 a dozen bucks with 2 harvested, but more importantly Candace shot her first buck!
I thank my friends/hunting team for coming together with a common goal to find Candace success.
