Hi guys, my new brother in law gave me the thumbs up to access to his families cabin on the Shuswap lake. I was wondering if this area is good for hunting, I plan to head for spring predator (bear wolf coyote) and scout for deer. Interested in whitetail but will take a mule buck next fall if I find one, was curious about the population of predator and deer in the area and if any good places to focus my scouting.

Big lake. Can you narrow it down a bit?

At the north end of the lake the Humamilt Lake area and over towards Momich Lakes should be good for predators. Wolves are not uncommon. Some side valleys worth a look as well. Also the Seymour River has a road that runs well back up that valley and should be good for bears. You have a lot of country to explore.

Thanks Steve thanks for the tip I'll check that area out for sure. Have had success with wolf using the fawn bawl but would like a black bear for sure.
Sent you a PM wiggy thank you
